Triathlon Training Day

The day will consist of 4 short but focused sessions. For most people 4 sessions in a day is pretty hefty and unrealistic to take forward into real life. So the idea is to do a mini condensed version of the bigger sessions to show how they should be completed and the mechanisms of the session. This can then be taken out into real life and expanded to create single bigger training sessions.


Meet at Kendal swimming pool 0730


We will be joined by coached athlete Grant Johnson who just came 2nd overall in 8hr16 at Copenhagen Ironman. He will join the sessions and be there to chat to

0745-0845 Grab a coffee and we can have an informal chat about the day and how we can prepare for winter training 

0900-1000 The Swim with involve the first half of the session highlighting the key drills to improve technique and then there will be a fun hard main set
 

1100-1230 The Bike will be a mix of overgearing and hill reps

Grab some Lunch [I will provide a basic selection of sandwiches but bring some food to ensure you dont go hungry… Its a fairly big day]
 

1400-1445 An informal chat about how to structure youre season and winter loading

1500-1600 The Run will be a condensed mini strength session followed by a nice social long warm down.

 1620-1700 The Gym will go through the key strength and mobility exercises need to maintain you body and keep it in good shape. See the gym work as mortar for the wall. It stabilises and hold the stones firm

 1715 Hometime Grant and I will stay and answer any questions until 1730

 

COST is £60 total
